Professional Year Program in Engineering: Course Overview

The Professional Year Program in Engineering is a 44-week program that consists of two main components:

  1. Practical Training: This in-class training lasts for 32 weeks and covers essential topics related to legal employment requirements in Australia. Candidates receive face-to-face workshops and access to online resources to enhance their knowledge.

  2. Internship Placement: The internship placement spans 12 weeks and provides specialized mentorship to engineering graduates. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the PYP Engineering program, international students must meet the following requirements:

  • Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in engineering from an Australian university.
  • Hold or apply for the Temporary Graduate Visa subclass 485 with a validity of 18 months.
  • Qualify for skills assessment from a recognized Australian Engineering Education institute.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English with an overall score of 6.0 in IELTS, with a minimum score of 5.0 in all skills, OR a score of 5.0 in PTE Academics.
